Purpose The role of Senior Application Analyst is to perform duties associated with the suite of COTS commercial off the shelf- software that form the organizations application portfolio.
Duties encompass the configuration, administration, support, maintenance, vendor enhancements, and overall operation of the applications from an IT perspective.
The incumbent will be the resident subject matter expert for the organizations applications, and be accountable for the full complement of the daily/weekly/monthly activities operated to manage the systems function in a timely and effective manner from an IT perspective.
The incumbent ensures that the applications are operated in an effective, efficient, and timely manner, according to SLAs that are agreed upon with the relevant business managers.
The incumbent is not accountable for the overall cost management and budgeting of these IT applications, but will provide input to the AMS Manager for budget planning and cost tracking.
Further, the incumbent will ensure the IT applications adhere to all of the organizations security policies and guidelines, are within the organizations technology standards, and conform and comply with all of the organizations business and technology processes.
In addition, the incumbent will work with project managers, 3rd party vendors, QA testers, IT infrastructure, and IT release management to drive any required change for an application from development to production.
The change can be project/enhancement/break-fix/innovation/regulatory related and injected through the organizations business change demand intake and/or trouble ticketing processes.
Further, the incumbent would identify/assess technical requirements for any change, as well as provide subject matter input for the technical roadmap for the organizations IT application suite.
Lastly, to be clear, this position does not entail staff performance management (i.
e.
no performance reviews).

Provide full IT subject matter expertise for IT Applications
Provide recommendations for improvements in the delivery/operation/maintenance of IT Applications
Provide subject matter input for the technical direction and roadmap for Applications
Provide assessments, impacts, cost estimate input, and delivery of all IT related changes to Applications received through demand intake process
Provide input on overall work prioritization and budgeting to the Applications Manager
Goal - meet or exceed application availability targets and restoration of application after outages
Identify areas with ongoing or repeatable issues, conduct root cause analysis and identify mechanisms for resolution
Use approved Change Management procedures to request approval for solution changes including data fixes, code changes and configuration updates
Manage/Report on IT application performance, and service ticket resolutions according to 3rd party and business partner SLAs for those applications
Ensure all work is in line with organizational security/technology/process standards
Ensure efficient and timely management of all assigned interfaces from an IT application viewpoint
Participate in the design, delivery and transition to Production Support of projects or system enhancements for assigned applications
Identify and collect tasks and effort required to scope out changes to the assigned applications
Scope and deliver small projects / enhancements to assigned applications, under the supervision of a Manager or Project Manager
Lead for IT application upgrades/patches/revisions planning and execution
Participate in on call rotation to provide off-hours support for application end users
Gain and maintain a working knowledge of other applications in the team's portfolio, for basic support response and resolution of requests while on call
Goal - meet or exceed response, resolution and customer satisfaction targets for tickets assigned to Analyst's queue
Maintain good relationships with customers, as a trusted experienced advisor on application use and issue resolution
Coordinate efforts of other support providers to identify and resolve application issues, including third party vendors and internal technical resources
Interface with 3rd party counterparts (primarily Vendors) to effectively manage day-to-day operations of IT applications
Work closely with Category Managers, Project Managers, and Applications Managers to ensure delivery of IT commitments
Manage/schedule all production support activities from an application administration point of view for all IT Applications
Work with rest of IT team to affect all IT release management as it applies to Applications Education and Experience
Expertise - advanced/well-developed skills and knowledge within a specific professional discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents
University - bachelors degree or equivalent
5-10 years of experiences
Certification or proven track record in one or more of the following areas:
